Cigarette Packet Design – Elemental Rhythm
November 2024 | Illustrator, Graphite Pen, Photoshop
Intro
“Cigarette Packet Design – Four Elements Edition is a packaging study that connects the ritual of smoking with the four classical elements of air, fire, water, and earth. Detailed graphite linework and controlled color blocking turn drifting smoke and natural forces into layered scenes on the Marlboro packet.”
Concept
Each pack interprets a cigarette as a brief encounter with one elemental force. Rather than showing literal imagery, the designs use abstract structures and density to suggest air, fire, water, and earth.
Series Logic
Across the set, logo placement, panel divisions, and hierarchy remain consistent. Only line density and color shift, creating a system that feels controlled and classic but slightly surreal.

Drawing & Structure

Fine graphite lines trace light, rising smoke that dissolves into open sky. Sparse marks and open negative space keep the composition weightless, as if the image could drift off the surface at any moment. The overall mood is quiet and suspended, like a brief pause between breaths.
